Me and my wife enjoyed our anniversary at Al’s and had a wonderful time. Both drinks and food were of high quality and tasted excellent. We personally really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Al visited with us a little bit too, made some great recommendations and later asked how we enjoyed the meal, something that really meant a lot to us. We look forward to coming again and highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes Turkish/Mediterranean food or just wants to try something a little different.

Now Jacksonville has a Mediterranean restaurant. With two Mexican restaurants, a couple (sort-of) Italian restaurants and a sushi restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant is a perfect addition. Al’s Mediterranean is run by Al himself and I hope he’s training some kitchen staff so he won’t “burn out”. He’s there a lot and prepares most of the dishes himself. The Lamb is excellent, so is the warm hummus and of course the very fresh Mediterranean salads. They serve traditionally prepared Turkish tea and Coffee. Very nice to enjoy while you’re waiting for your food. Baklava is delicious although we are usually full from dinner and take an order home to enjoy the next day.

My family and I went here last night for dinner and were so impressed with our meals. All the appetizers and main entrees were delicious and the staff was very friendly and kind. Al (the owner) came out and talked with us for 15-20 minutes about his life, the food and made us feel so welcomed. He was so down to earth and extremely friendly. He puts so much hard work and love into his food and it is very apparent he loves what he does. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!! Thank you again!

My wife and I were so excited to hear that there was an authentic Mediterranean place that opened up in the valley. Our desire to have some good Mediterranean was met! My wife got the chicken shish kebab and I got the lamb shish kebab. They had a Baba ghanoush special for the night which was so good! The quality of the food was superb, well-seasoned. Definitely on the pricier end keep in mind. The chicken shish kebab was 26 which we felt that is a little pricey for chicken entree but while it's not a huge portion, it is a fair portion and excellent quality. Also, one last negative was that the menu size was on the smaller end despite having a few specials. The wraps are only available for lunch for some reason which cut down a fair part of the menu. This would also be the first Mediterranean place that we've visited that didn't serve any Shwarma. Service was great. Only waitress for the whole place but she checked on us a fair number of times, offered the guests a spicy sauce which btw was super good. Had a kind gentleman come by and check on us, perhaps manager or cook or owner. It is a small little place with maybe 8 or 10 tables, so I would make reservations especially for a weekend. Due to primarily the price, we won't be visiting often but 100% paying back a visit when we are really craving Mediterranean again because the quality and service is definitely there. If Google allowed, we would give this somewhere between a 8 and a 9 of 10 review but because of how new this place is, we are hoping they may be able to drive down the price a little and expand their menu items.

Absolutely amazing food, every dish was painstakingly created with so much flavor. Hummus with sausage was out of this world take on a standard hummus dip. The lamb shank was tender and flavourful. The lamb chops were tender but firm enough for you to enjoy the bite into it. The chicken shish was delicate. Also try their spicy sauce, works well with the chicken shish. The lentil soup was light and tasty. The place itself is a little small, so get a reservation.

Must try sausage Amazing lentil soup And service is amazing Sorry, I didn't get a chance to take the pictures of the soup. It was too good to stop and think of taking pics.

We could not stop raving about the tasty food we had here! Even our toddler loved the creamy lentil soup. Thank you for showing us great service and delicious food!

This place is so spectacularly delicious. Ordered the lamb wrap and it was cooked to perfection. Had the Turkish coffee which came with some Turkish delight on the side. Al the owner was very attentive and catered to us to our needs exponentially. The baklavas to die for as well. I don’t normally leave reviews but this was just such a pleasant experience I had to leave a good review. Definitely go check it out yourself.
